     We lived next door to JoAnne and Wilbur for about 26 years.
     They were great neighbors and we became good friends
      One sunny morning JoAnne called me and said she couldn’t get the car out of the garage and she had to get to school. I offered to drive her and she said no just come over to the garage and help me
      She was standing outside on her side of their two car garage. She said the garage door won’t open and I really need you to help me get my car (a big Oldsmobile) out. Now. I’m standing there looking at the 2 car garage with 2 doors and a brick wall between the front of the doors and workbenches and tools all over the place   and thinking. how are we ever going to do this???
      We started with JoAnne getting in the car and telling me to tell her what to do! So. Ok I will try !
Turn the wheel to the right and pull forward now stop. Turn the wheel the other way and back up  now stop! We did the wheel turning and go forward and wheel turning and go backwards numerous  times, over at least 10 minutes until she was finally able to back out of the door on Wilbur’s side of the  garage.  Now remember. We also had to watch out for workbenches and automotive tools all over during this endeavor. 
It was a very sweet success for both of us and off she went to school! We were so proud of our accomplishment 
That afternoon. Wil came home from work and asked JoAnne “ What happened jn the gsrage. , there are tire tracks all over?” JoAnne told him the garage door wouldn’t open and Jan and I got my car out! He did not believe it. He told her there is no way you two could get that car out! But. We did!
We came to Florida several times to visit them,  and every time this story came up. Wil always said I still don’t believe you got that car out !

JoAnne and family.  My deepest condolences to all.  Wil was a wonderful guy.  I can't remember exactly all instances but we had many  a laugh while I worked at Yanson Chevrolet.  Of course I do remember, at least most, of our high school years.  

In Wil's memory I made a donation to wings4recovery.

I have many fond memories of Wilbur,  Joanne and the kids. So sorry for your loss

We've made many memories with Wilbur since moving to Summertree.  Ed Youngs and Wil had fun together; they enjoyed smoking cigars and having a beer not too long ago.  In the past they've gone parasailing off Marco Island, sailed from Tarpon Springs to the Dry Tortugas and return, and they camped in the middle of the Nascar track for the Rolex 24.  It makes me happy to think they're together again and loving God's creation in Heaven.

Wil and Joanne were two of the first neighbors we met in the Greens.    We bonded immediately and found so much in common that our friendship florished.  It is with deepest fondness that I remember Wil and his smile, his twinkle in his eyes,  and his ability to share a story from his well-lived life that left many of us in stitches.  He and Joanne  are a real inspiration to those of us who have had the privilege to know them.  May Wil rest in peace.

Grandpa keeping another Tucker family tradition alive- skeet shooting! Even at 75+ years old he was an amazing shot and would hit every one with precision and ease. 

Wil and Ed Youngs had many adventures.  These included parasailing while on Marco Island, attending the Rolex 24 Nascar Race, and sailing from Tarpon Springs to Dry Tortugas and return.  They claimed they could retrace their travels on the sailboat by the blue Bud Lite cans.  Their souvenir from Nascar was an autographed poster signed by the Hooter Girls.  They camped in the middle of the track in Ed's 1978 GMC motorhome.   RIP Wil....you are missed!

I didn't know him, but I know his son, Jonathan. It's like I know everything about him through "JT". I know he was a good man because he raised a phenomenal son! Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. God bless you all and be encouraged. Philippians 4:7
