Vera Hanson

Vera Marie Hanson, 76 of Holiday and formerly of Wheeling, WV, entered peacefully into rest on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living and Memory Care Center, Palm Harbor. She was a Registered Head Nurse until retirement in Wheeling and Moundsville, WV.

The daughter of the late Nicholas and Katy (Bauman) Dragonier, she was born on September 22, 1938 in Wierton, WV. She was the wife of the late Leslie H. Hanson whom she moved with to New Port Richey in 2001. She volunteered at Baycare, New Port Richey and was a member of CCWC of New Port Richey, FL.

She leaves behind family and friends to cherish her memory including: her son, Leslie A. Hanson and his wife, J. Diane; grandsons, Keith & Cody and many friends.

Friends are invited on Saturday, December 6, at 10:00 am to join in a Celebration of Vera’s Life at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home, 4224 Madison St., New Port Richey. Inurnment will be held privately.
