,Born in Alexandria, MO and attended school in Keokuk. After high school, Frank joined the Doc Lawson band and Al Menke band, and traveled the Midwest playing Jazz and Swing as 1st Trumpet. Frank was a WWII veteran, serving in the Navy in the pacific on the battleship US Idaho. He and his wife, Lola, moved to Michigan following the war, where Frank worked for the Ford Motor Company and playing in jazz bands until he retired and moved to New Port Richey, Florida in the 80’s. He continued his love of music in Florida, and played trumpet for many years in the Tampa Bay area with musicians who had retired to Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lola, and son, Douglas.
He is survived by family members, daughter, Judy Powell, son-in-law, Jan Powell, granddaughter, Kristin Rutkowski, nephews, Neville and Kevin Crenshaw, and niece Glory Crenshaw Smith.
Frank passed away quietly at home, in his favorite chair.
