Dorothy Morton, 94, of Holiday, FL passed away peacefully in the care of Hospice on 12.26.2023.
She was born in Englewood, NJ on 09.06.1929.
She graduated from Rutgers University in NJ earning a Bachelor's Degree.
She married her beloved husband, Richard (Dick) Morton on June 24th, 1950 and they were happily married 49 years until his passing.
Dorothy had a very long (52 years) and rewarding career as an elementary teacher. She so enjoyed seeing children learn and grow.
Dorothy was an avid reader of books. She was also very talented and creative and had a passion for Counted Cross Stitch. She made numerous pieces of art with her cross stitch that all have admired over the years.
Dorothy’s greatest happiness was her family and she is survived by :
Two sons- John Morton and Scott Morton
Two daughter-in-laws: Jackie Morton and Hannah Morton
5 Grandchildren- Michelle Morton, Nicole Baetens, Amanda Marcial, Branson Morton and Walker Morton
5 Great Grandchildren – Chloe Boekeloo, Jillian Boekeloo, Kylee Baetens, Rame Baetens, and Scout Morton
She will forever be remembered for her kindness, generosity and love.

A service will occur Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
