Bret L Johnson was born in Tucson Arizona and is survived by his two children, Max and Sean, and two siblings.
Leaving Arizona, Bret relocated to Florida with his parents in the early 1970’s and Bret became a skilled craftsman in the construction industry, excelling in the trades which included roofing, rough and trim carpentry and also finish and detail work in the nautical luxury boat building industry.
Bret also honed his skillsets with a certification in historical restoration practices for older buildings, yet as Bret’s health declined, he ventured into another field of interest which was more conducive to his physical limitations and became a self-taught mixed-media artist and some of Bret’s art will be on display at his celebration of life memorial service.
Also, when able, Bret enjoyed fishing or working on some of his commissioned art projects and he also enjoyed time with visiting friends and family and for leisure or when unable to either fish, or create art, Bret enjoyed watching the old westerns.
Bret was much loved and will be missed by his family and friends who both loved him and enjoyed his unique sense of humor and insights, where his keen wit and ability to present another perspective either brought a smile, a laugh or triggered a shed of tears.
The Lord his him home now and us remaining will keep him and our other departed loved ones and friends in our memories until we can meet again, for “everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).
Peace
