Yvonne Glynn Vaz

Yvonne (Mavis) Andrews Glynn Vaz passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at the age of 84. She was a native of Biloxi, MS and resident of Jonesboro, LA. Yvonne had a long career as a medical office manager.

She is preceded in death by her first husband of 30 years, Albert J. Glynn, Jr.; and her second huband of 17 years, Louis R. Vaz; and her sister, Lois Leleaux.

Yvonne is survived by her son, Kenneth Patrick Glynn (Pam); brother, Thomas Andrews Jr. (Madeline); grandchildren, Jason Mendel (Paula), Erin Glynn (Gil), Brittnay Glynn (Dakota), Brandi Greer (Holden) and Rachel Norman (Ben); great-grandchildren, Hunter and Adeline Mendel, Gracelynn, Emberly and Fletcher Greer and Brooks Norman; and several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give special thanks to: Jackson Parish Hospital Nurses and staff for their kindness and patience; Ascend Hospice and staff especially Charlotte Odom for her Compassion; Forest Haven staff Megan and Tina for keeping us informed and connected.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 9am until 1pm. A mass will be held in the chapel of Lake Lawn at 1pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum.
