Warren Daniel Gilbert (GIL) passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at the age of 59. Beloved husband of Rita Loraso Gilbert. Son of the late Gordon Harold Gilbert and Emma Jeanne Gilbert. Loving father of Dustin Daniel Gilbert (Veronica). Brother of Susan Gilbert Wynn (Steve) and the late George Gilbert. Brother in law of Victor Loraso (Jane), Darlene McDonald (Jared), Jacquelyn Dakin (Bobby) and Donna Protti. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews and his beloved grand-dog Mojo Gilbert.
Mr. Gilbert was the Owner of G & G Hydraulics since 1982. He designed a unique auxillary safety hydraulic system with convenient in-cab operator controls.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at 3:30 p.m. with Funeral Mass to follow at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society, preferred.
