Wade Anthony Pitre passed away suddenly at the tender age of 24 years old on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 in Hammond, Louisiana. Wade was born on July 17, 1991 in Port Arthur, Texas. He was the beloved son of Michael A. Pitre and Karen Platt Hutchinson and the stepson of James Hutchinson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Roland A. Pitre Sr, Emily Gros Pitre and Raymond Morris Platt and his uncle and namesake Wade Anthony Pitre. He is survived by his loving siblings, brother Ray Michael Pitre (Jasmine), sister Katy Leann Pitre, his grandmother Tempa Lee Platt, nieces Autumn Lee Pitre and Emma Louise Daniel, nephew Matthew Ray Pitre, uncles Rodney J., Roland A., Daniel J. Pitre and Gary Platt (Mary), aunt Sheryl A. Pitre and a host of adoring cousins. Wade was a graduate of Bonnabel High School's Special Schools Program in 2012 and a participant in the Special Olympics multiple times. He loved His Lord Saviour Jesus Christ, his family and LSU football. The family would like to thank the faculty and staff of Evergreen Life Services Group Home in Hammond where Wade was a resident for several years. The smile that never left his face will be sadly missed by all who had the honor of knowing and loving him. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery.
