Vincent "Vinny" Paul Borrello, Sr.

Vincent “Vinny” Paul Borrello, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the age of 76. Vinny was born in New Orleans to the late Peter P. and Calogera “Lily” Borrello. He was the beloved husband for 57 years of Beverly Cucurullo Borrello; loving father of Gina Blanda (Leon), Donna Tucker (Frank), Vinny Borrello, Jr. (Breezy), and Joey Borrello (Stephanie); brother of A. Charles Borrello, Peter P. Borrello, Jr. (Sylvanie), and the late Joseph Borrello; loving grandfather to seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister-inlaw, Gail Ducote (Mickey). Vinny and his loving wife, Beverly, became childhood sweethearts in 1953. They married in 1960 and raised four children. The most important thing to Vinny was the love of his family. Vinny has been a court reporter since 1964 where he worked as an Official Court Reporter in Orleans Civil District Court, Orleans First City Court and 24th Judicial District Court. In 1969, Vinny established New Orleans School of Court Reporting, one of the first court reporting schools in Louisiana. In 1972, he was appointed by the governor to the Board of Charity Hospital. In 1978, along with his brother, Charles, founded Borrello Court Reporters. Vinny retired from 24th Judicial District Court in 2010 so he could enjoy spending all of his time with his loving wife and family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. In New Orleans, on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at noon.
