Vincent Catalanotto Sr.

Vincent Catalanotto Sr. was born September 8, 1953 and passed away on May 28, 2024 at the age of 70. He was a proud father to his son Vincent Jr (wife, Heather); granddaughter Lucca Rose and grand son Vincent III. He was “Poppy” to Bodhi Eilertsen and Nicco Banta (mother, Tiffany). Siblings; Steven Catalanotto (Ann), Frank Catalanotto Jr.; Mary Spain (late Raymond), Lenora Barreca (Larry); is preceded in death by his father, Frank Catalanotto Sr., mother, Mary Anselmo Catalanotto and brother Anthony Catalanotto (Joann). He was a loving Uncle to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Vincent is also survived by his former wife Janet Arruebarrena. Special thanks to Jodi Witliff and Tony Imbraguglio for being such and integral part of Vincent’s restaurant and commitment to maintaining that legacy. Vincent was a beloved chef, restaurateur at Vincent’s Italian cuisine. Vincent's passion for culinary excellence spanned over 35 years, leaving a mark on the hearts of all who had the joy of tasting his food. Beyond his culinary talents, Vincent's unique personality and generous spirit endeared him to all who crossed his path. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel like family, leaving a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Vincent's legacy will live on through the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the recipes he shared Vincent will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the countless individuals whose lives he enriched. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit will forever remain alive in our hearts. Everyone is invited to attend a funeral service held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
