Vickie Stephens Barbetta, age 66, of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. She was born on May 9, 1957 to the late Joseph M. Stephens and Gertrude Stephens. Vickie was a graduate of Riverdale High School in Jefferson, Louisiana. She loved spending time with her daughters and granddaughter. Vickie loved the beach, growing pineapples and taking care of her plants. She adored crafting, baking, decorating and shopping.
Vickie is survived by her beloved spouse Thomas Barbetta of 38 years; her daughters, Stacie B. Miller and Jill Barbetta; her granddaughter, Scarlett Leigh Miller; her brother, Joseph Stephens and her grand-dogs, Cooper and Kaiya.
The family would like to give special thanks to all of her family and friends, the doctors, nurses and staff at East Jefferson General Hospital and Compassus Hospice.
A visitation for Vickie will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
