Susan “Susie” Bruhn McNabb, age 55 years, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at her home in Kenner, LA. Beloved wife of Tim McNabb for 11 wonderful years. Loving mother of Dr. Christopher McKeown. Step-mother of Kristi McKeown, Leanna McNabb, and Jason McNabb. Daughter of the late Joseph H. Bruhn and Patricia Kelley Bruhn. Sister of Barry Bruhn (Julie), Bobby Bruhn (Sonia), Brian Bruhn (Gina), Patti Carapina (Mario), Kelley Bienvenu, Laurie Sbisa (Ronnie), Pam Talley (Jim), and the late Billy Bruhn. Sister-in-law of Louise Bolander and family. Daughter-in-law of the late Dalton and Ruby McNabb. Grandmother of Lexi Grace. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Susie was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA and a Registered Nurse for Charity Hospital in New Orleans and most recently Touro Infirmary. She received her nursing degree from Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans. Susie loved gardening, photography, music, nature, and spending time on the river. She loved collecting everything and mostly loved her family and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to come celebrate her life on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. A funeral mass will begin at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
