Dedicated and beloved wife of James Michel Ber for 62 years, prior to his leaving this earth in 2009. Some might say or had seen that Rosie and James’ lifelong connection surpassed the average bear’s and maybe that which the human eye could see. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to her late parents Max and Helen Levy whom she spoke of with love and appreciation. Regularly in service, action and living a legacy of Love, Rosemary was known well for her eagerness to not only speak kindly, but to live gratitude through action. She was also the Light to the mundane, as grandkids recall many a day where “Maw Maw” would be smiling, dancing and holding a rather decent tune! …all while running the vacuum and in between board games and fun.
The loss of Rosie’s husband Jimmie was later followed by their witty, creative, courageous, giving and also loving without limit daughter, the late Jamie Michelle Ber. Today, Rosemary is survived by her son, Michael Henry Ber. Michael, who recently shared final earthly goodbyes with his wife, Tammy “Lellia”, the MiMi Ber in September of 2020. Steadfast, Michael visited with his mother often during the week and although not a billboard of verbal emotion, Michael loves and cared for his mother with a dedication and love that spoke loudly and needed no words. Surviving and losing is hard. Loving Rosie… is just a natural given. Rosemary, aka Maw Maw, is additionally survived, remembered and graciously celebrated today by her grandchildren, Michael and Tammy’s kiddos’, Jeffrey Leon Ber and his wife Michelle; granddaughter Anne Marie Ber Morgan who shared life and love with Brandon Lee Morgan that in graceful turn, grew Rosemary’s capacity to know and live lovingly while adding to the list and generations of her always lady like, fun spirited, total love. Great granddaughter and genuine Light like her Maw Maw, Rylee Anne Morgan and Great grandsons, James David Ber and Stephen Michael Ber remain thoughtful and thankful while remembering her love. Willing to serve with love either behind the scenes and or where needed, Mrs. Ber supported and patiently loved while cheerleading her husband and her love of her life, Mr. James Ber, as he opened Lighting Inc. in 1958 and who was involved in many professional and civic organizations including Continental Homestead, Local and State American Diabetes Association, Touro Infirmary and the American Home Lighting Institute. Rosie spent years volunteering her time and sharing her genuinely courteous LoveLight through service at Touro Hospital. This was in efforts to give back that which she readily stated she had received. We honor, are thankful and remember Rosemary, Maw Maw, Levy Ber today with a solemn melody that is wrapped in some Grace filled peace. The peace is in the heart and soul’s knowing that she is reunited with her one, truest in this lifetime, reciprocating love while she lives on daily inside each of us. Blessed and Lucky; we each are. Whether a present moment, for a few days and/or our lifetimes as grands and great grands on this earth, her spirited and soulful way always managed to touch and ignite others’ paths.
