Robert "Bob" Charles Paul

Robert “Bob” Charles Paul of Metairie, LA, age 78, went to be with our Lord on Friday, December 3, 2022. Bob was born April 22, 1944 in New Orleans, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents Velder Roy Paul Sr. and Dorothy Hartshorn Paul, and his son Johnny Ray Paul.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Kathlyn E. White. He is also survived by his children James Patrick Paul (Sandee), Melissa Paul, Renee Paul Bergeron, Danielle D’Amico Ducote (Troy), Daniel D’Amico (Michelle), Christine D’Amico Porche (Joseph). He also leaves behind his brother Velder Roy Paul Jr (Diane) and numerous grandchildren and great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Sergeant First Class in the United States Army, Bob served our country in the Air Force and the Army, serving tours in Vietnam, earning numerous accolades and awards, working as a mechanic, trainer, recruiter, and other roles until he retired. He also served and retired from the LA National Guard HHC 204th Area Support Group. After living a life of service, he chose a civilian career of being a truck driver. He always wanted to see the country. He worked for many years for Cal-Ark and Schneider travelling over 2 million miles.

A visitation will be held Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA at 10:30am to 12pm, Graveside Service to follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
