"Bobby" was a 1955 graduate of Jesuit High School. He attended Loyola University, and graduated from Loyola School of Dentistry in 1961. He served in the U.S. Army as a Captain, serving active duty in the Korean War.
Prior to his time in Korea, he practiced dentistry briefly in Buras, Louisiana. Upon his return from the war, he established his dental practice, alongside his father and brother, in the Maison Blanche Building in New Orleans. He practiced in that location for many years, until the building was acquired by the Ritz Carlton Hotel. He then moved his practice to Metairie, Louisiana, practicing there until his retirement.
Bobby was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Memory Britsch for 55 years, affectionately referring to her as "my Mem". He was her primary caregiver throughout her long term illness, up until the time of her death in 2019.
He was a devout catholic, and active parishioner of St. Maria Goretti Church for nearly 50 years, attending daily mass for most of those years. He also attended the Manresa House of Retreats every year he was able, since he was a student at Jesuit High School.
Bobby was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, trawling, and hunting throughout his lifetime, passing his knowledge and love for such to countless others. His memory will live on through many generations of hunters and fisherman that were blessed to experience wonderful times with him "in the marsh".
