Dr. Richard "Rick" Anthony Tucker

Dr. Rick Tucker passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022 at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of Michelle Seiler Tucker, and father of Arabella Acheeanna Tucker. They were his Love, his Heart, his Soul; his Everything. Son of the late Alvin “Sonny” Tucker Jr. and Agnes Achee Tucker. Brother of Alvin Tucker Sr., Ronald Tucker, and Patricia Tucker. He is survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends.

He was an active member of River Church, and supported numerous charities. He was a graduate of Nicholls State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in animal science and was accepted to LSU School of Veterinary Medicine, but decided to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. He was president of Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity and was a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities. He was also the former president of the Louisiana Society for Respiratory Therapy. He was the former director of Cardiopulmonary Services South Medical Center. He loved to exercise and was a former Most Muscular Man in Louisiana, and Mr. Southern America. He received a bachelor’s degree from Parker Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. He founded and was CEO of Advanced Medical Centers.

He was the first registered respiratory therapist from Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Dr. Tucker was a member of the first group of chiropractic physicians to be granted hospital privileges.

He and his wife, Michelle Seiler Tucker, founded AMR, the largest medical legal group in the Greater New Orleans area.

A visitation will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
