Paul Christopher Miceli, age 50, passed away at his home in Slidell, Louisiana, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Leah Lilley, and his granddaughter, Faustina Wogan.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Teresa Miceli; mother and stepfather, Cynthia Virgillio and Gary Buser; father and stepmother, Angelo Joseph Miceli and Karen Puckett Miceli; daughters, Jessica Miceli Wogan (David) and Desiree Lilley Buckingham (Randall); sons, Christopher “Nino” Miceli, Dylan Mooney, and Christian Lilley; sister, Tia Pea (John); brothers, Christian Miceli (Lauren) and Samuel Miceli (Shannon); grandchildren, Martin Wogan, Sean Wogan, Ethan Landry, Bree Landry, Allison Dukes, and Haven Morse; nephews, Julian, Dominic, Devin, Jeremiah, Tristan, and Oliver; and nieces, Nola, Izzy, Paitan, Sailor, Sandy, and Crystal.
Paul was born in New Orleans on March 21, 1972. He also lived in Orlando, Florida, and in Virginia, where he graduated from Sterling High School in 1990.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and worked as a contractor with NASA for 17 years. He was also an accomplished musician, playing various instruments, including the lead guitar and drums, and was an exceptional vocalist. In 2007, he played and toured throughout Europe as George Harrison with The Beatles cover band, Penny Lane.
Paul was dedicated to serving Jesus Christ, and was a member of Generations Church in Pearl River, Louisiana. He was also the sound engineer at the church.
He enjoyed cooking, dancing, singing, and good conversation. He was funny, making everyone laugh with his sense of humor and infectious smile.
Most of all, he loved and treasured his family. He will be dearly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at Generations Church, 62340 Hwy. 1090 in Pearl River, Louisiana, on Friday, April 7, 2023 at 7:00PM. The interment will follow the next day, Saturday, April 8 at 10:00AM in Metairie Cemetery, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans.
