Oscar R. Raibstein passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the age of 76. He was a native of La Ceiba, Honduras, and longtime resident of Kenner, LA. Oscar became a pipefitter after attending trade school through Avondale Shipyard and worked as a supervisor for the company until its closure. He was a member of Hickory Knoll Church of Christ where he served as a deacon for many years. Oscar loved serving the community and his friends. He had a passion for fishing and cooking. He was devoted to his family and sacrificed everything he could for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leibo and Juanita Raibstein; brother, Moises Raibstein; sisters, Isabelle McMurray and Marta (Angela) Lombardo. He is survived by his wife, Libertad O Raibstein; children, Leibo, Libertad, and Brenda; grandchildren, Alyssa, Adrian, Evan, and Ethan; and brother, Mario Pacheco; as well as many nieces and nephews. Oscar was loved by many. He leaves a deep void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
