Nicholas Louque, III

Nick is the beloved husband of Debra Wood Louque for over 20 years; treasured son of Audrey Ziemer Louque; brother of Kim (Robert) Cohen, and Nicole Louque; son-in-law of Don Wood, Sr.; brother-in-law of Don Wood, Jr., Doug (Marti) Wood, and Diana (Kurt) Kuehni; uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Louque, Jr., mother-in-law, Darlene Riley Wood, and grandparents Thelma Wille Ziemer, Arthur Ziemer, Althea Lion Louque and Nicholas Louque.

Nick began playing the drums at an early age and continued to play throughout this life. Music was a very important part of his core being, whether playing or listening. He had many good times playing in the band at JD Meisler and Grace King H.S. from where he graduated in 1987. He attended trade school to become a licensed master plumber & commercial contractor, and helped his parents run the family business for many years. After hurricane Katrina, he opened his own business, Nola Plumbing Co. LLC. He could do just about anything from plumbing, electrical & carpentry to electronics & IT. Nick was hard working, loyal, creative, had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and was always there to help out family & friends. He was the rock of our family. He was passionate about food and everything he created turned out delicious, either by recipe or off the top of his head, especially his red beans & rice, BBQ shrimp and vegan sausage. He was a lifelong Saints fan who was thrilled to finally win a Super Bowl. He was also an animal lover who, with his wife, fostered numerous rescue dogs over the years. He was a proud fur dad to cats Bella & Gray, & dogs Ginger, Mr. Tippers & Penny. He is now reunited with his dearest first Rottie, Tasha, as well as Sassy, Belle & Chloe.

A private memorial service was held on Dec. 29th at Lake Lawn Metairie.
