Monica Noel Biancardi, Animal Research Scientist at ACRES (Audubon Center for the Research of Endangered Species) and 2005-06 Krewe of Carrollton Maid, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at the age of 32. Monica is survived by her beloved family: parents Barbara and Stefano and brother Alexsandro Biancardi, grandparents Eileen and Gene Linxwiler and Enrichetta and Mario Biancardi, aunt Diane, uncle Paul, and cousin Mandy Plassmeyer, and uncle Gabriele Biancardi. She is the cherished sister of the late Lorenzo Biancardi. Monica received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Smith College in Zoology/Animal Biology and was a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University.
