Melida Rosa Barrientos

Melida Cottone Barrientos died peacefully at age 91 on Friday, Jan. 17, 2014 at her home in Metairie, LA. Born in Colorado, Honduras, and a long time resident of New Orleans, she will be missed and remembered by those she left behind: her sisters Blanca Canales, Isabel Mejia, Ester Chicas, Olga Miller and Alba Luz Arriaga; her children Mireya Modinger, Marco Cottone, her grandchildren Alex Modinger, Michelle Davis, Stephanie Strain and Christopher Cottone; and her great-grandchildren Graham Davis, Quincy Davis, Mateo Modinger, Luke and Cecilia Strain.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Thursday, January 30, 2014 at 11:00 am.
