Mary Ellis Richardson

Mary was preceded in death by her first husband, Thurston Raymond Richardson, her second husband Duane Jones, her grandson Raymond Wayne May, and her two brothers Herman Guillory and Turling Guillory. She is survived by her five children, Patrick Richardson, Linda Boe (Joey), Stephen Richardson, Judy Richardson, and Janis Cullen; brother Harry Lee Guillory; grandchildren Richard Lee (Cathy), Timothy Richardson (Rachele), Father Ryan Richardson, Holly Rogers (Shane), Laura Jung (Troy), Heather Logarbo (Ron), Randy Richardson, Heidi Kondroik, April May, Mary Lynn May, Aimee Hayes, and Elliott May; 20 great grandchildren; one great greatgrandchild; as well as several step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She had an enormous love for her family whom she always said made her the richest woman alive. She loved reading which brought her on so many journeys, and loved nature and at one time was an avid gardener.

A special thank you to all of the caring staff at Ponchatoula Community Care where she resided the past few years. They truly gave us extra time with our beloved mother due to the care she received.

A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, April 14, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, LA 70124, followed by a memorial mass, and interment thereafter at Lake Lawn Park, 5454 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, Louisiana 70124.
