Mary Jane Bearoff Bradley passed away peacefully on March 8, 2024, in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was born on August 11, 1926, in Bridgeport, Pennsylvania to Marie and Frank Bearoff. Jane, as she was known to most, was married for 57 years to Richard M. Bradley who predeceased her in 2008.
Jane lived a full and wonderful life. She grew up in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, earning her nursing degree. There she met her loving husband Dick Bradley and together started their family. With the emergent electronics industry, Jane and Dick crossed the country living in southern California, and later back east to Massachusetts. Jane attended and graduated from Emerson College, Boston, and continued her medical work as a psychiatric nurse. She and Dick headed south to retire in Palm City, Florida in 1989, where they lived an active life of family, friends, golf, tennis, dancing, travel, books, and joy. Jane leaves behind a wide path of enduring friendships with people she met along her way.
Jane is survived by her daughters, Janet Bradley-Garber of Gill, Massachusetts; Kriss Bradley Morrison of New Orleans, Louisiana; grandsons, Alexander Morrison, Ben Garber, Matt Garber, and wife Brittany, as well as sons-in-law, Kenny Morrison, and Ken Garber. Jane was sadly predeceased by her son, Garth Richard Bradley, of New Orleans, Louisiana in 2016. Jane also leaves behind her dear relatives Gwendolyn Bulmer of Massachusetts, Elaine Thornton, Barbara, and Rich Firth, all of Pennsylvania, and their families. She is pre-deceased by her sister Kathryn Bearoff and her two brothers Francis and Charles Bearoff.
The family wishes to acknowledge with heartfelt gratitude the care partners and nurses at Poydras Home along with Rene Davenport, Vernie Brock, Trina Brown, and Joanne Bland, all of whom provided love, comfort, and devotion.
A service will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church Gulph Mills, Pennsylvania on Saturday, May 18th at 10:30am. Her final resting place will be Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Specialists of Louisiana or American Parkinson Disease Association.
