Lucretia was born in Vaiden, MS on November, 12, 1938. She graduated from Vaiden High School and attended the University of Southern Mississippi, majoring in Education and was an active member of Alpha Sigma Alpha. Lucretia was a retired middle school English teacher who taught in Plaquemines Parish for the majority of her career.
She was a member of Republican Women of Louisiana, The USM Foundation, Welcome Neighbors and the Ladies Leukemia League where she served on several committees. She was an avid Saints and Michael Jordan Fan traveling to see his last game as a Chicago Bull. She also loved the fine restaurants of New Orleans, joking often that she could make “great reservations.”
Lucretia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jack Golden Bryant, daughter Andrea, son-in-law Mark Ott and grandson, Jax Ott of Baton Rouge, LA.
Relatives, friends of the family, former students and faculty of Belle Chasse Middle & High Schools are invited to attend the reception to celebrate Lucretia’s life on Friday, June 26th 3 – 5:30 PM at English Turn Country Club.
