Lynn P. Comeaux, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Bernice Smith Comeaux for 64 years. Beloved father of Lynn P. Comeaux, Jr. (Jane), Nancy C. DuBois (Fred), Ronald L. Comeaux (Lynne), Donald C. Comeaux and Darlene C. Waldweiler (Bud). He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and sister Dottie Comeaux. Son of the late Elliott L. and Oneida Mire Comeaux. Preceded in death by his brothers Elliott, Jr., Bumps, Jerry, and sisters Estelle and Ida Mae.
Served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sgt. during World War II with Battery “B” 31st Field Artillery Battalion on Okinawa Island and in Korea. He retired from South Central Bell after 35 years of service.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division St., Metairie, on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park. A visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 AM until time of Mass.
