Ligia is preceded in death by her parents, Aida Brenes Ramirez and Arnoldo Ramirez.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Robert Figuero, Sr. Ligia is the loving mother of Michelle F. Wise (Keith) and Robert Figuero, Jr. (D’Neil); sister of Maria R. Piedra; adoring grandmother to Kaylie Wise, Karlie Wise, Morgan Figuero and Ryan Figuero. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
After retiring as a Registered Nurse, Ligia spent most of her time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Monday, December 21, 2020 at 1pm. A visitation will begin at 11am. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum. Fr. Luis Duarte will officiate the service. Due to current health concerns and restrictions, all guests are required to wear a mask.
