Karen Marie McGlothlin, age 73, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017. Karen was born on June 13, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Dewey C. and Emma J. Garrett. She grew up in Arkansas before moving and residing in Metairie, Louisiana for over 40 years. She is survived by her daughter, Rachelle Raglin; her sisters, Sharon Olmsted and Patricia Thomas (Ralph); her brothers, Leonard Garrett (Beulah) and Albert Garrett (Marlene); her granddaughter, Alexianna Tara; great-grandson, Caleb Tara; her lifelong partner, Jose Pequeno; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Geraldine Baird. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
