Irma Ford Frederic

Irma Ford Frederic passed away in the Woodlands, TX on May 8, 2018 at 82 years of age. She was a native of Boutte, LA and a long time resident of Terrytown, LA. Irma lived the last two years of her life with her daughter and family in Magnolia, TX. Wife of the late Wilson (Fred) Frederic, Jr. for 60 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Catherine Frederic Smith (Bill) of Magnolia, TX and Carol Frederic Wiewiorowski (Tad) of New Orleans, LA. Grandmother of Nicholas Allen and Michelle Catherine Smith, Caroline Adele and Emily Catherine Wiewiorowski. Also survived by her sister, Dorothy Ford Borne and brother, Peter J. Ford, Jr. Preceded in death by her parents, Peter J. Ford, Sr. and Velma Boyer Ford, and her brother, Roy J. Ford. Irma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was employed as a secretary at Freeport-McMoRan in New Orleans for over 30 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, LA on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 10am to 12pm.
