I’ve known Mr.Nguyen since my sophomore year of high school when Carver first opened in 2016. We were never really that close to begin with, but as time went on we got developed a bond. He’s like a friend and a guidance for me, he gives the best advices and is always there to listen to me. Even after I graduated, he would still keep in touch with my mother wishing her happy holidays and check up on me. I never got to visit him after graduation and it’s one of the things that I regret most. It just shows how short life and time truly is because I keep thinking that there’s be many chances, so you just have to live your best life and show love all around and visit your loved ones. May you Rest In Peace Mr. Nguyen, I will always remember you<3

Hieu, was like a brother to me. Your kindness and generosity will never be missed. I am so very sad I can not be there today. But I am in spirit. I want to say thank you again for the memories and being a beacon of hope.   You will be missed. To the family I am so sorry for your loss.  

I met him when my school was hosting a robotics competition. He had a smile on his face and was very kind to everyone around him.  

I first encountered Mr Nguyen at the Relay Graduate school of education. We were in the same grad program . He was so warm and inviting. He was relentless in his pursuit to practice practice practice until he was confident in his practice so he could present his best  self for kids  . He loved being an educator and did not let his own exceptionality hinder him. I absolutely adored him. He passed the MVP relay baton to me after class one week and I’ll never forget that . May he sleep with the Angels 

We had a lot of great times together and you were family among us. You were like a brother to me and was always there in good times and bad. You will be sorely missed. Goodbye, bro!

Hiếu was such a great guy. He was a joy to be around. I don’t know how to say goodbye to one of my best friends. My heart aches. Although he is no longer with us, I know he is with our Heavenly Father.  May the Spirit of our Lord grant us all peace to keep on living and loving. 

I will forever missing you, Hieu. Thank you for all the good times we shared together. I’ll miss your laugh, your fun comments, your generosity and your kindness. 
Your time here with us was short but forever changed our life in a positive way. Everywhere you go, whoever you meet, you always give as much as you could and never ask for return, which makes life more beautiful. 
You were an angel living on earth and God has called you to be by his side...

From day 0- day end of competition, Hieu was there lending his hands and humor, which was much needed as hour 10 of the would approach. He always gave 110% for the kids and I  could always count on him to be willing to go the extra bit to make the day that more special. From dropping on the floor to eyeball a call to giving it his all in line dances, Hieu made both FRC Bayou and FIRST Lego a wonderful experience for hundreds of children and adults.

Hieu always was a joy to be around. We went to Delgado together and worked in Student Government together. The best qualities of Hieu was he always had a smile on his face and a positive attitude. 
Our best memories with him was working the day to day grind of student government and our good times at Bill's house and at Dave and Busters cracking jokes about each other talking about past experiences and Hieu's wonderful trips too Vietnam.  Hieu was devoted to his family, his students, his studies, and his friends. He will surely be missed. 
Hieu and many others in SGA were the ship that steered the boat that was Delgado Student Events. After we both graduated from college we stayed in touch and saw each other when we could. Hieu deserves only the best and his family should not consider his life unfulfilled. Hieu led a great life even if his life was sadly taken away from us too early. Hieu if your watching us from above know you left an indeliable and lasting positive impression on us and we will never forget you.

Hieu has been a volunteer with FIRST programs for many years.  It is with such great sadness that we learn of his passing.  His infectious smile,  limitless kindness and unwavering positivity will forever be missed in our FIRST family. 

Hieu and I attended Delgado Community College together and remained friends since then. We were both heavily engaged in college life, and his encouragement boosted my campaign for student body Vice President at Delgado many, many years ago. When I learned he was going into the field of education, I jumped for joy because I knew that our students needed and deserved a passionate, empathetic, and loving human like Hieu in their lives. Hieu will be terribly missed, and there’s no doubt that his absence now leaves a huge void in the lives of so many, but I will continue to cherish the memories we had together. Hieu was truly unmatched. I send my deepest condolences and love to the Nguyen family. I am here if you need anything.

To the family, you are in my prayers. I knew Hieu from college. He was a tremendous light in the world. A soul that was taken away too soon.  Thank you for wonderful memories.  Blessed to have met you. 

Hieu, will be sorely missed. He always had a friendly disposition and a quick laugh. To think this will be his 10 yr Alumi Graduate from Tulane University this year. My last yr. and I was so busy with classes he talked  me to join the VSA. LOL,  I never even got a chance to go to a meeting.  Always willing to help, even as a test subject for a friend of mine a Vietnamese female preparing to graduate from Holy Cross College for a Master’s in counseling. My sincere condolences for your loss. I will miss my friend. 

Hieu was the embodiment of hope, generosity and kindness. He would always lend a hand to whomever needed it. He also maintained close friendships with those who cherished him the most. He will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace my friend. 

I never thought I would lose you. You were the first friend I made after moving to New Orleans, and you will always be in my heart. I have learned so much through you. May your memory forever be a blessing to all of us who knew you.

Hieu and I worked together at George Washington Carver HS in New Orleans. When I tell you I have never met someone so inclusive and kind, I mean that. He was one of the most gentle, kind, and patient teachers I have ever known. He was goofy, playful, and happy. Always happy. Always tried to make my days better by teaching me Vietnamese or having one of the students say something funny. Hieu, will always be one of my favorite people. Just the bright light in everyone's life that we needed. 

Thinking of all family members and close friends to Hieu, I cannot imagine the loss you all are feeling. Putting each of you in my thoughts and prayers.
