On March 25, 2017 Herbert Douglas Lindley passed away. Born on January 12, 1935 in West Helena, Arkansas to Merle Jenkins Lindley and Herbert Lindley. He graduated from St. Aloysious High School in 1954. He met and married the love of his life Constance Brooks. They had two children, Douglas K. Lindley (Judith O. Lindley deceased) and Sandra L. Guillot (Gary Guillot). He lost the love of his life in 2007. He is survived by his two children, four grandchildren; Brian Guillot, Sheri Guillot Martin, Amanda Lindley Parulan, and Christy Lindley. He was known as Popsi to his four great-grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Kelsi, Brayden, Cody and a great-granddaughter Amelia on the way. He worked as a barber in Schwegmann's for many years for the last decade and a half at ""The New You"" salon. His love and passion for his family and friends had no bounds. He was passionate in all he did. Doug and Connie are now together again where they can relive their times at the World's Fair and family get-togethers and watch over their family and revel in a job well done. A prayer service will be held at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchcartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Friday, March 31, 2017 at 12 p.m. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. until service time.
