Helen Negrotto Oser Purvis

Helen Negrotto Oser Purvis died March 9, 2018 at her home in New Orleans surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 8, 1921 to the late Lewie G. Negrotto, Sr. and Mary Ellen Murphy Negrotto. She was preceded in death by her first husband Dr. Frank S. Oser, Jr.; second husband, G. Frank Purvis, Jr. and son, Dr. Frank S. Oser, III (survived by Lisette Carriere Oser). She is survived by her daughters, Karen Oser Edmunds (Ollie) and Kristin Oser Capshaw (Ben); son, Dr. Eric Richard Oser (Laranne); step-daughter, Winston Wendt Purvis and stepson, G. Frank Purvis, III (Beth); ten grandchildren, Anne Edmunds Aguirre (Ernie), John O. Edmunds, III (Rachel), Dr. Erica Capshaw Brooks (Clay), Benjamin C. Capshaw (Kristin), Frances S. Oser, Walter C. Oser, F. Jefferson Oser, Ellen H. Oser, Caroline Edmunds Purdy (Ryan), Christopher F. Edmunds (Cristina); her step-granddaughter, Virginia Purvis Bark (Kenneth) and seven great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. in New Orleans, on Saturday, March 17, 2018 beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jesuit High School, 4133 Banks St. New Orleans, LA 70119 and the Academy of the Sacred Heart, 4521 St. Charles Ave. New Orleans, LA 70115 are preferred.
