Heather Ashleigh Butler passed away on April 7, 2018 in Jefferson Louisiana. She was 24. A graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, Heather was an artist, musician, linguist, a voracious reader, and intelligent beyond belief. She was one of the most creative and practical people we have ever known. She was quick with a smile and an infectious laugh. She was a muse for inspiration and artistic guidance. She was her father’s conscience, her mother’s angel, and best friend to her sisters. Anything she wished to learn, she mastered. Most of all, she was loving and kind. She had a huge heart and was always there for her family, her friends, and her boyfriend Joe. Everyone who met Heather came away knowing they had met a loving soul. Though she was taken so young, she lived a full life amongst her loved ones. The world will never see her like again. She is survived by her parents, Elizabeth and William Butler IV, her sisters Madeline and Colleen Butler, her grandparents, Marguerite and William Butler III, Diane and Louis Schneller Sr, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass held at St. Ann Church and Shrine located at 3601 Transcontinental Drive in Metairie on Thursday, April 12th at 2pm. Visitation will begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, New Orleans. To share your fondest memories and condolences, please visit www.lakelawnmetairie.com.
