Emily Savoy Cusimano

Emily Jeanne Savoy Cusimano passed away on May 13, 2022 at the age of 99. Emily was born on August 2, 1922 in Broussard, LA. and had lived in the New Orleans area since 1948. She is preceded in death by her father Jules Avery Savoy; mother, Gertrude Comeaux Savoy; brother, Presley Savoy; sisters, Lena Savoy Benoit, Maudred Savoy Larson; son, Frank Cusimano; daughter, Marilyn Cusimano Rightor; and grandson, David Rightor.

Emily is survived by her beloved sons Denald Cusimano (Sue) and Tim Cusimano (Cheryl); son-in-law Nicholas Rightor; Grandchildren, Shannon Cusimano Ferguson, Brad Cusimano, Jeffrey Rightor , Ryan Rightor, Jarod Cusimano, Natalie Cusimano; great-grandchildren; Tyler Cusimano, Devin Cusimano, Remy Cusimano, Milena Rightor, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Emily was a gentle, kind, loving person, deeply loved by her family and friends. She is at peace with Our Father in heaven. A celebration of Emily‘s life will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022 at Lake Lawn Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA 70124. Visitation will begin at 9:00AM. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00AM, internment will follow at Lake Lawn Mausoleum.
