Edna S. McLeod

Edna Scheuermann McLeod passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 23, 2022 at the age of 97. Edna was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated from Redemptorist High School in 1941. Edna was a bookkeeper and teacher.

Edna was the beloved wife of the late John L. McLeod, of 56 years, and a loving mother of her three kids Stephen, James and Barbara McLeod.

She is also preceded in death by her parents, Catherine Hecker and Joseph Scheuermann; her one sister, Cecilia S. Mullett; and her five brothers, Felix, Joseph, Herbert, Wallace and the Reverend Raymond Scheuermann C.SS.R.

Edna is survived by her daughter, Barbara and her two sons Stephen and James; grandchildren Christine, Stephen, Thomas and Michael; great-grandchildren Chase, Caidyn, Sophia, Kaitlyn, Riley and Dominic.

The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers at Lake Town Village and Passages Hospice, Tiffany and Judy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, August 29, 2022 at 10:30a.m., at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home at 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, Louisiana 70124 Followed by a graveside service at 12pm in Lake Lawn Park and Mausoleum.
