Catherine Mae Yuest Louviere, 83, of Nacogdoches, Texas, formerly of New Orleans, LA, passed away on Saturday June 11, 2011 in Nacogdoches. She was born November 19, 1927 in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Adrian Lemoine Yuest (survivor of Orphan Train out of New York) and Mary Eunice Brouillette Yuest. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 17, 2011 at Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home with the Father Michael O'Rourke, OPP and Deacon John Pippenger officiating with entombment to follow at Lakelawn Mausoleum, New Orleans, Louisiana. Catherine was a Catholic Christian and attended Sacred Heart High School; she was involved in St. Dominic Catholic Church in Lakeview and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Nacogdoches after moving there in 2005 after hurricane Katrina. On June 1, 1946 she married the love of her life, Bernard Louviere, Sr., a WWII veteran of the U. S. Navy and they lived in New Orleans, Louisiana all the 24 years of their marriage until his death May 22, 1970 at the age of 45. Catherine was a Mother, telephone operator and office manager, employed with Creole Engineering Company, Inc for 20 years, retiring in 1990. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, playing bridge with the Girls, reading the National Enquirer and was a member of the Engineers Club and Bridge Club. MARDI GRAS and fun gatherings with her family and friends brought her great joy; her greatest blessing being that of her 5 healthy, successful children. She often made known her prayer of choice made necessary while rearing them: God grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the Courage to change the things I can; and the Wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time, Enjoying one moment at a time, Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace, Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it, Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will, that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever, in the next.
