Carol Glivar Ney, 70, of Kenner, passed away on September 10, 2016 at her home of 43 years. She was born on August 22, 1946 in Gary, Indiana. Her husband of 50 years, Frederick Ney, and parents, Genevieve Turner and William Glivar, preceded her in death. Carol is survived by two children, Michele and John; five grandchildren, Andrew, Ashton, Nadia, Coby, Alyssa; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Lucy, Simon; two siblings, Bill Glivar and Sharon Adler. A dedicated member of the police department for 36 years, she took pride in her work leading the Harahan D.A.R.E. program, working with children. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Carol’s memory at her home on Saturday, September 17th, from 1PM – 5PM.
