She was born in New Orleans on November 14, 1926. She was a graduate of St. Stephen’s High School. Audrey was a resident of New Orleans until later moving to Slidell where she resided for over 40 years. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Slidell.
She was a loving wife and mother and devoted to her family. After Katrina, she moved to Knoxville, TN for 7 years before moving back to Slidell.
Audrey is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years George William Lex, her parents Nicholas Gannon and Nora Lamia Gannon, her son William “Billy” Lex and her sister Valerie Gerarve.
Audrey is survived by her daughters, Georgann Foster, Lugene Leslie (Frank) and Phyllis Angel Burgess (Freddie), and her grandson Derick Lex Burgess.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 2pm followed by the interment at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
