Ann Marie McEntee Conners, age 70 years, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at her home in Metairie, LA. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Joseph Conners. Loving and proud mother of Peter Anthony Conners (Camdon), Shawn Patrick Conners (Amber), and Cory James Conners (Mary). Step-mother of Craig Joseph Conners. Loving and adoring grandmother of Cayla Conners, Cameron Conners, Aiden Conners, Andrew Conners, Cory Conners, Eilee Conners, and Morgan Conners. Daughter of the late James McEntee and Jeanne Coleman McEntee. Sister of Joseph “Lucky” McEntee (Marita), Jeanette “Sugar” King (Michael), Pamela Silva (Kenny), Patricia Burbach (Jay), Jimmy McEntee (Ann), Michael McEntee (Vickie), William “Billy” McEntee (Sally), Jeanne Boutall (Chuck) , and the late Kevin McEntee. Daughter-in-law of the late Marguerite Conners. Sister-in-law of Melrose Kathmann (the late Bernard “Pete” Kathmann), Tammy McEntee and the late Gloria Bringold (the late John Bringold). Also survived by her numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Ann was a native of New Orleans, a longtime proud resident of Chalmette and most recently a resident of Metairie, LA. She was born in the Bayou St John neighborhood, living there later in life as well, and had a great love of the people, food, and culture of the city. She was a graduate of St. Ann Catholic School and Rabouin High School in New Orleans. She was a former bookkeeper for the Law Offices of Chalin Perez in Braithwaite and Gurtler Bros. Consultants in New Orleans. She was also a former Administrative Assistant at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home in New Orleans.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 444 Metairie Rd., Metairie, LA on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Ann’s remains will be laid to rest at a later date with her late husband Donald’s in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
