Adam W. Winningkoff, Jr. passed away on May 17, 2018, at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Ann Scandaliato Winningkoff; two sons Stephen (Angelle) and Darren (Lisa); three step-daughter, Kim (David), Lisa (Greg), and Sheri; Grandchildren, Ian, Kelsi and Dayna, Jessica and Trey, Blake and Baylie, Madeleine and Nicholas.
He is also survived by his brother Kenneth (Ginger); a brother-in-law, Samuel Z. Scandaliato (Kalma) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Adam W. Winningkoff, Sr. and Louise Kaufmann Winningkoff and grandson, Dawson Anthony Theriot. Adam was a resident of St. Bernard Parish until Katrina in 2005 when he relocated to Harahan, LA. He was a graduate of Francis T. Nicholls High School and attended Tulane University for 2 years. He then Pursued a career in drafting and worked in the profession for 50 plus years. Adam was a member of the Thomas C. Laughlin Jefferson Senior Center (The Pink House) and Ochsner Elmwood Senior Center. In 2012 he reigned as King of the Krewe of Pontchartrain Mardi Gras Parade. He was an avid fan of the Saints, the Pelicans and Tulane. He loved acting and was an extra in many movies. Adam loved being with his children and grandchildren and loved attending every event they were involved in. Many thanks to hospice and our neighbors, Denise, Elmo, Mark and Lauren for all of their help during his illness. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 12pm with public visitation from 10am until service time. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, Masses in his memory are requested.
