Kier J. Johnson Jr.

Mr. Johnson was born in Waynesboro, GA on March 25, 1925 the son of Kier and Estelle Johnson. He married Daisy M. Young of Providence, RI.

He retired from the Navy in 1964 and Civil Service in 1987 and received the Career Awards for his 40 years of services to the Navy and US Government. He also received the Three Star Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal, American Area Campaign Medal, World War II Victory Medal, European Theatre Occupation Medal, Philippine Liberation and National Defense Medal.

Mr. Johnson loved sports especially baseball, golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling and enjoyed cooking and listening to jazz music.

He is survived by his wife, Daisy, son Emile and his wife Linda, daughter Michele and her husband Ivan, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and son Edward.
