Donald Francis Terry, 86, of Newburgh, New York, passed away on December 24th, 2022, in Norwich, CT. He married Germaine Fowler of Brooklyn, New York in 1960, and together they had four children: Donald F. Terry Jr., Jeananne T. Campbell, Daniel S. Terry, and Julianne Wheeler.
Donald served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years, was a member of the Submarine Force, and obtained the rank of Master Chief. He had additional careers at Electric Boat and owned his own electrical business. Donald had an incredible ability for electrical and electronics’ applications. He enjoyed learning about history and travelled regularly to Gettysburg, PA. Donald also enjoyed reading comic strips on Sundays, particularly Peanuts. Donald was a loving and supportive partner, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a man of impeccable values, had a wonderful sense of humor and an uncanny wit. Donald was charming and affable to all he encountered and possessed great humility.
He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Services will be private.
