She was born on March 2, 1923, in New London, the daughter of Filomena Rondinoni Farina and Augustine Farina.
She was the widow of Russell Miller who died in 2006, after 59 years of marriage.
Mrs. Miller graduated from WMI in 1942. She was employed as a clerk at DMV for over 30 years. She was also formerly employed as a toll taker on the Gold Star Bridge. She was an avid tap dancer and enjoyed line dancing with the Seniors. She also frequently attended monthly lunch bunch.
She is survived by her daughter Pamela Zbierski and her husband Stephen of Mystic; her brother Salvatore Farina of New London; her grandchildren Eric Zbierski and Stefanie Mazzi and four great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings Joseph Farina and Lucy Metivier.
The funeral procession will assemble on Thursday at 8:45am at Fulton-Theroux Funeral Home, 181 Ocean Ave., New London and will proceed to a 10 am Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 63 Old Norwich Rd., Quaker Hill, CT 06375. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, New London. Calling hours will be held tomorrow (Wed.) from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
