Ray Marie was born on August 10, 1940 in New Iberia, LA and was an only child to the late Evans and Julie Louviere Bonin. She was a devout Catholic who offered many prayers for her family and was always available to lend her ear to those in need.
Her outgoing personality allowed her the gift of striking up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime. She enjoyed scrolling through Facebook and being able to see everyone’s photos, talking on the phone and communicating through text messages.
Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the grand-fur babies.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Annette D. Sauceda (Lou); Donna Douet and Nicole D. Louviere (Ronnie); seven grandchildren, Ashley Sauceda; Cody Sauceda (Kassie); Drew Sauceda (Marisa); Logan Miranda; Abigail Babineaux, Jake Peters and Jace Peters and five great grandchildren, Sy Frederick, Salem Dugas, Kylan Sauceda, Grace Dugas and Seth Dugas, Jr.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. Douet.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Acadiana, 2600 Johnston Street, Suite 200, Lafayette, LA 70503.
The family would like to express their gratitude for the care and support they received by Dr. George Cousin and Staff; Dr. Moses Kitakule and staff, AMG Specialty Hospital and staff, Hospice of Acadiana and the staff of Calcutta House.
