Peggy Charpentier Aucoin

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Bret J. Aucoin, the former Peggy Charpentier, age 53, at 2:00 pm Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native of Berwick and resident of New Iberia, Peggy was a member of the Houma Native American Tribe. She passed away at 9:40 am on, Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Iberia Medical Center.

She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bret J. Aucoin of New Iberia; three sons, Brandon Aucoin and wife Carmen and Trey Aucoin all of New Iberia; Chad Aucoin and wife Shaylen of Mena, Arkansas; three daughters, Brandi Aucoin and Fred Bonin, Sr.; Amber Aucoin and Ashley Aucoin all of New Iberia; her mother, Florence Breaux of New Iberia and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Zeby Charpentier, Sr.; one sister, Darlene White and three brothers, Zeby Charpentier, Jr.; Seth Charpentier and Troy Charpentier.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Aucoin, Chad Aucoin, Trey Aucoin, Fred Bonin, Sr., Troy Franks and Zeby Charpentier, III.

Her husband, Bret J. Aucoin will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
