Funeral services will be held for Mary LeBlanc Gambrill, age 79, at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Evangeline Funeral Home. Fr. Garrett Savoie, Pastor of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, will officiate. Following the service, Mary will be laid to rest at Holy Family Cemetery. The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday at Evangeline Funeral Home.
Mary, born in St. Martinville on October 6, 1944, to the late Junest and Flora Delorial LeBlanc, was one of four children. A devoted Catholic, Mary was equally committed to caring for her family, working on puzzles, and spending time visiting with friends. Her warm and caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, creating lasting connections with those fortunate enough to share in her life.
Her legacy of faith, love, and dedication to her family and friends will be fondly remembered by all who were touched by her presence.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Edward Lee Gambrill, one daughter, Wendy G. Daigle; two sons, Paul Gambrill and wife Danette and Chad Gambrill and wife Natashia; nine grandchildren, Toby Davis, Morgan Daigle, Ashley Franks, Drew Gambrill, Thomas Gambrill, Valerie Fontenot, Allyson Jefferson, Gage Champagne, and Paige Gambrill; nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Philip LeBlanc and wife Mary Lee, and Barry LeBlanc, one brother-in-law, Alvin Picard, and her two godchildren, David Land, Jr., and Sherri Ann Picard.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Becky Ann Picard, and her niece, Rhoda Ann LeBlanc.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Paul Gambrill, Chad Gambrill, Toby Davis, David Land, Jr., Thomas Gambrill, and Drew Gambrill.
