Jayla Marie Daigle

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Jayla Marie Daigle, age 11, at 11:00 am Thursday, December 31, 2015 with Fr .Mario Romero officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Jayla passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2015.

Jayla was an active and vibrant 6th grader at Daspit Elementary, who played the clarinet in the band. Jayla loved time spent with her brother, Zane and was doing a great job as big sister to her new baby sister Raelyn. She loved basketball, cheerleading, gymnastics and late night chats shared with her mom. Jayla also enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing with her father. She will be missed by her parents, siblings, grandparents and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her mother, Rechelle Potier and companion Jordy Suire; father, Dustin Daigle; siblings; Zane Micahel Vice; Raelyn Renee Suire all of New Iberia and Haliegh Rae Broussard of Coteau; paternal grandmother, Debbie Houston of New Iberia; Godmother and Aunts, Dana Potier; Roxann Touchet, Dawn Johnson, Brandi Golden, Jennifer Daigle and Sarah Daigle and her uncles, Andrew Potier, Steve Potier, Bobby Daigle, Steven Daigle and Jason Daigle.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Melvin James Potier and Cynthia Bearb Potier; Paternal Grandfather, Robert S. Daigle; uncle, Willie James Daigle and godfather, Ryan Touchet.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Daigle, Andrew Potier, Deano Ray, Jeremy Touchet, Johnny Alleman and Jordy Suire. Jeremy Romero, Sai Phakonekham and Jaret Marceaux will serve as honorary pallbearers.
