Irma Marie Rodrigue

RYNELLA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Irma Marie Rodrigue, age 63, at 11:00 am Thursday, July 13, 2017 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church with Fr. James Nguyen officiating. Interment will follow at St. Marcellus Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Irma passed away at 8:20 pm on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Waldon Health Care Center in Kenner.

Irma was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High in 1971. She was an avid ballet dancer with more than 15 years of experience. She loved spending time with her family and friends whom will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her brother, Mark Rodrigue of Denver, CO; former sister in law, Kathryn White of New Orleans; two nephews, Geoffrey Rodrigue and wife Mallory of Slidell and Kevin Rodrigue and wife Jennifer of Madisonville; one niece, Lauren Whitehead and husband Will of Houston; her great nieces and nephews, Brittney Evans; Gauge Rodrigue; Reagan Rodrigue; Louise Whitehead; Cecilia Whitehead; Alex Rossi; Evelyn Rodrigue and Ashton Rodrigue; along with numerous cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred “Nook” Rodrigue and Marie Eola “Shum” Thibeaux Rodrigue; maternal grandparents, Ophelias and Marie LeBlanc Thibeaux and paternal grandparents, Philip Rodrigue and Irma Pesson Rodrigue.

Pallbearers will be Mark Rodrigue, Geoffrey Rodrigue, Kevin Rodrigue, Gauge Rodrigue, Johnny Lopez, John Earl LeBlanc, Ronnie Cortez and Steven LeBlanc.
