Haywood Joseph Delcambre

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Haywood “Sock” “YanYan” Joseph Delcambre, age 73, at 3:00 pm Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Charles Langlois officiating. Interment will be held at Broussard Cemetery in Bayou Petit Anse.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Tuesday until service time at the funeral home.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Delcambre passed away at 3:30 pm on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Delcambre is survived by his wife of 49 years Judith “Judy” Dionne “Dee” Delcambre of New Iberia; six children, Dee Baillargeon and husband Roch of Lafayette; Haywood Gerard Delcambre and wife Lisa of Avery Island; Libby Leleux and husband Derek; Nancy Delcambre; Michelle Monot and husband Shane and Susan Leleux and husband Kevin all of New Iberia; eight grandchildren, Barbara Viator; Lori LeBlanc; Lani Monot; Chance Leleux; Savannah Delcambre; Cheyenne Delcambre; Logan Monot and Chris Leleux.

He is also survived by his siblings, Curtis Delcambre and Jean Leleux of New Iberia; Eugene Delcambre of Loreauville; Luther Monte of South Carolina; Harry Delcambre, Jr. of Grand Isle and Earline Delcambre of Lydia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Lilly Segura Delcambre and one sister, Audrey Landry.

Pallbearers will be Haywood Gerard Delcambre, Derek, Chance and Kevin Leleux, Dee and Roch Baillargeon.

Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Leleux, Blaine LeBlanc and Logan Monot.
