Mr. Migues, better known as “Jerry”, was born in Lee Station, on January 28, 1927 to his parents, the late Eraste Migues and the late Odette Gonsoulin Migues. Mr. Migues graduated from New Iberia High School in 1943 at the age of 16. He was married to Jacqueline Bernadette Viator on February 1, 1951. Mr. Migues was always thought of as a loving and caring husband and father. He loved New Iberia and would never have considered living anywhere else.
He was employed by Central Louisiana Electric Company (CLECO), formerly Gulf Public Service Company, for 47 years. Mr. Migues started with CLECO at the age of 16 as a storeroom sweeper until the time of his retirement as State Supervisor of Stores. He completed his service in the army by serving in occupied Japan until his return home.

He took his family on countless camping trips and vacations as his children were growing up. Upon his retirement from CLECO, he and his wife ran a small cattle ranch on the Avery Island Road until his health would no longer allow them to continue with it.
