Felix Hebert

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mr. Felix Hebert, age 86, at 10:00 am Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help with Fr. Mark Derise officiating. Interment will be held at All Saints Cemetery in Loreauville with military honors by VFW Post #1982.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Hebert passed away at 3:39 am on Monday, October 10, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Hebert proudly served his county in the Navy during WWII. He was also a member of the American Legion, Department of Veterans Affairs and the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ola R. Hebert; sons Randy J. Hebert of New Iberia and David Hebert with fiancé Candy Meyers of New Iberia; daughter, Lynnette Romero of New Iberia; brother, Francis Hebert; sisters, Anita McClintock, Betty Derouen and Annie Landry; eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Anna Hebert; sister, Zelma Hebert and brother, Frederick A. Hebert.

Pallbearers will be David Hebert, Randy Hebert, Raymond Landry, Austin Romero, Hutton Daniels and Ryan Hebert.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
